If you were born between the 1980’s and early 2000’s, you are considered a millennial. This probably also means you are also tech savvy and connected to the internet/technology. If this is you, here are a few things you need to co cognoscente about:

-people who are older than millennials tend to look at their phone around 5 times a day. Whereas millennials have an average of 109 times a day.

-you are more susceptible to having a higher chance at having a hunch, leading to neck pain and back pain from looking at things like computers, tablets, and phones.

-neck pain resulting from prolonged use of mobile devices has a term coined “text neck”.

Here are some ways you can manage your risk:

-make sure to take breaks from technology. For a few hours at a time is best.

-make sure to get your daily physical activity

-be conscious of your posture and how you are holding yourself.

-go to the chiropractor regularly in order to help prevent and/or manage conditions.

Being educated and aware of these things can help you manage the outcome down the road. That way, you can help mitigate musculoskeletal problems in the future.
